I was trying to get back into the rhythm of art again after a stressful month at work, so I decided to do a “loose illustration”. As a digital illustrator, it’s important to avoid the artificial and constricting nature of the computer. So I give myself a time limit (1 hour) and just do whatever comes along in my head quickly and unrestrained.

I like the way this one turned out. Featuring my very own rooster, Big Shot, whose crow sounds surprisingly close to the opening riff of Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze”.
